Single panel commentary.
Every so often I read so much on one subject that my head fills up, and I have to try to condense it into a cartoon, just to help me feel as if I have a handle on it. Lately much of my reading has been about marketers trying to harness the perceived promise of social media, empowered consumerism, persuasion by and for the people — that kind of thing. Here’s the cartoon that popped out, inspired at least partly by the Facebook adventure. As always, if you have a better caption, feel free toss it up. Incidentally, this cartoon looks more polished than my others because I didn’t draw it. Instead, Ad Giant Jay did the art in less than an hour, which stunned me.
