Not “New Dad,” but not bad.

Many administrations ago in the early glory days of SNL there was a skit called “New Dad,” an insurance policy that replaced an expired dad with a new one. I was reminded of that old skit when I surfed upon the Dial A Hubby franchise in the UK.

Maybe it struck a chord because my neighborhood is shifting from the old residents to younger ones, and I try to help out with lawn mowing or other quick chores for my neighbors now and then. There’s still a honey-do list, even when the honey’s gone.

I thought Dial A Hubby was a sensible positioning for basic handy-person services, though based on this news, I wonder if handy wives will complain.
