That would make one very funny video. If only I knew when they planned to stop by again.

You amaze me Fred. How you take something so trite and clearly aggravating and turn it into humor. I offer my design services to these young lads if you happen to run into their knives in the near future. (Hopefully not) But if you do, I am only happy to provide years of experience taking executive renderings such as this and turning them into true brand marks that express the underlying personality of their gang.

Of course this sounds nauseating on the surface, especially to cynical (read: experienced) ad hacks such as ourselves. But not to worry: if the shows are even more of a piece of crap than they typically are now, they'll tank and this [mostly likely idiotic] little experiment will go the laughable way of New Coke and that freakishly stupid peanut butter and jelly in the same jar. This is completely the type of thing Studio Types would have thought up, late of course, and with an AHA! And something the Network Types wouldn't see as largely ludicrous. No doubt they'll retain *some* audience; look at what people are willing to watch now. But once they see that they're driving away people who are already beginning to look elsewhere, this will screech to halt. Or, most appropriately, it will split into two markets and they'll have to learn to service both. (Oooh, I like that. Rock on, thou disruptive Web!)

The trends and changes in our musical landscape is very interesting. As an artist I ask myself the same question--is there more opportunity in this vast cyber world or because it's accessible to everyone, is it flooded and thus harder to get exposure. I'm enjoying the sites like myspace and know that many would never have heard my music if it weren't for that and similarly, I would not have heard many artists for whom I am now a fan.

Maybe they were afraid that a solution was a conversation stopper. Or maybe it was scheduled for episode 2 :) Or they could toss in an exchange like:
ConsumerGirl: You don't even read my blog.
AdGuy: Your what?

This is absolutely priceless!

I think we need a "Computer Tech Support Coloring Book". Then again, all the pages would be "Color this page black because of you depression over the fact that mankind can't seem to master something as simple as 'Click Send to go ahead and send that email'". Maybe we could have a single page showing the poor support technician buying himself something to brighten his mood.
